1994
Vimpex Founded

Founded by Vivian Jones as exclusive European dealer of Kobishi Fire Bells. Vivian’s children were paid to label bells in the garage at the family home.

1997
ISO 9001 Certification Gained

 

1998
Hosiden Besson Partner with Vimpex

Exclusive deal to distribute HBL products worldwide

1999
Hydrosense Water Leak Detection Launched

Kentec Limited grant Vimpex license to sole distribution

2000
Fire-Cryer Launched

Vimpex’s voice solution remains the most trusted voice sounders on the market

2001
James Jones founds Vimpex Rescue

The company introduce Ogura to the rescue sector – the first battery powered hydraulic cutting system of its type

2003
Makita Distribution

Appointed as specialist chosen provider to the UK emergency services

2010
Move to new premises

We doubled our floor space with new offices and warehousing – premises were opened by the late Teddy Taylor MP

2012
Exclusive distribution of Paratech Rescue Tools

Endorsement of Vimpex as an established player in the UK rescue sector

2018
Vimpex becomes a manufacturer

Our transformation from dealer to manufacturer commences with the development of Identifire

2020
Acquisition of SmartGuard range

Vimpex purchased Sigma Fire and Security and their SmartGuard range of Call Point Covers.

2021
ClamBell development

Vimpex now manufacture the only European made fire alarm bell

ISO 14001

Vimpex gain ISO 14001 Accreditation

Major Expansion of Factory

PAB Helmets
