Vimpex's Hydrosense Water Leak Detection System has been installed at Visa‘s new Dubai headquarters for the CEMEA region, to protect this important new state-of-the-art facility from water ingress, which could seriously damage electrical, communication and computer networks.
Visa’s new Dubai HQ facility is now the company’s headquarters for the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) region for the world's leader in digital payments.
It spans 100,000 square feet, and will house the company’s almost 500 regional employees. It can accommodate up to 750 employees in the future - expanding the company's capabilities across the almost 90 countries Visa operates in the CEMEA region.
Hydrosense Water Leak Detection systemsVimpex’s Hydrosense Water Leak Detection systems are delivering the new standard in water leak detection, applying the integrity, control and reliability of life safety and building infrastructure systems to protect against water ingress that could seriously damage critical IT and communication infrastructure. It continuously monitors for water leaks around the clock, year in year out and has the facility for 72-hour battery standby in the event of power failure. Should a leak be detected the control panel sounds an alarm that can be extended to a remote location. When an alarm is raised, Vimpex Hydro-Cryer voice sounders can be used to broadcast an unambiguous message, avoiding confusion with other sounders on site.
Escape of Water claims for commercial buildings are consistently the most expensive for insurers, with claims in the UK alone costing insurers £2.5 million a day, which equates to nearly £1 billion a year.
