Data shows that there were 244 outdoor fires a day in February 2023, contributing to approximately 6,000 in total that month. The full year – April-March 22/23 shows that outdoor fires start to become more common in April, peaking in July/August with a drop from September extending through the Autumn and Winter months until late March when the fire season often start again.
English fire data – the most recent available of that published by our four Home Nations - shows that the average 320 daily outdoor fire incidences were the second highest recorded since 2010/11 - running somewhat higher than the 13-year average of 275. There is little question then, that our firefighters are increasingly likely to attend an outdoor or wildland fire during the long 5 ½ month season.
With climate change intensifying the frequency and severity of wildland fires, the demand for firefighting equipment has never been greater. The Inforest range empowers firefighters with tools they can trust to protect lives, property, and natural environments.
